Why am I not receiving emails on my iPhone or iPad?

Recently, we have had several customers come in for help with their email. The main issue is that they are no longer receiving any emails on their phone or tablet. Most of these customers use Apple phones and iPads.

The most common way to resolve this issue on your iPhone or iPad is to follow these steps:

1. Open Settings

2. Scroll down - Find and open the Mail setting.

3. Find and open Accounts

4. Tap on the Email Account that you are no longer receive emails from.

5. Tap on that Account (i.e., mygoogle@gmail.com) and re-enter your password.

Once you re-enter your password. Go back and see if you are now receiving emails. In most cases, this resolves the problem. YEA!!!

If this doesn’t work, there are a few other reasons why you might not be receiving emails. Here are a few things to check:

  • Is your email account set up correctly? Make sure that you have entered your email address and password correctly in your device's email settings.

  • Is your email account full? Email accounts have a maximum storage limit. If your account is full, you will not be able to receive any new emails.

  • Have you checked your spam or junk folders? Emails from senders you don't know may be automatically filtered into your spam or junk folders. Make sure to check these folders regularly for any important emails.

  • Is your device connected to the internet? You will need to be connected to the internet in order to receive emails. Check your device's internet connection and make sure that it is turned on.

  • Is your device's email app up to date? Make sure that you have the latest version of your device's email app installed. Outdated apps may not be compatible with the latest email servers.

What can I do if I am still not receiving emails?

If you have checked all-of-the above and you are still not receiving emails, here are a few additional things you can try:

  • Restart your device. This can sometimes fix minor software glitches.

  • Sign out of your email account and sign back in. This can also sometimes fix problems with email delivery.
